I do this just to safe guide the seasoning but most of the time (post 2 weeks) I prefer to use an ice cube tray and freeze the seasoning and use at my leisure. First, to grow Seasoning peppers, sow the seeds in a well-drained potting mix. They should germinate within about 2 weeks in temperatures ranging from 24 to 30°C. From our favourite stews to the wonderful exotic curries, green seasoning lays the foundation to that signature Trini-Caribbean taste. When meats are marinated with this mixture of fresh aromatic herbs the results are amazing. The green herbs permeates down to the bones of the meats when it is properly marinated and only then, you can really attempt to make any of the other Trini -Caribbean dishes with success.

I'd imagine it tastes pretty close to the same, but this accounts for why many people find the texture of the pimentos stuffed into green olives to be a bit weird. I bet you're wondering if there is a mistake with the title of this post, oh but it does resemble pesto doesn't it?

The ratios of some of the ingredients may differ but no matter how it's made one thing remains the same, it's green and it's delicious. In fact I knew of a guy that loved green seasoning so much that he used to eat it between two slices of bread. Yes! It could be that delicious sometimes to some people. Jerk can refer to jerk spice blends, jerk marinade, and the cooking technique in general. What is a Good Substitute for Jerk Seasoning? I grew up in the south, and pimento cheese is almost a staple in my family. You can't go to a family gathering without at least two different kinds of pimento cheese dips. I typically use my seasoning within 1-2 weeks of making it, stored in a mason jar. If I plan to refrigerate for up to a month I add lime or apple cider vinegar (⅓ cup).
