Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin at the bottom of his garden. T.M. Logan always manages to come up with the basics of a realistic scenario, that then spins entirely out of control. The Catch is no different. A father who doesn’t approve of his daughter’s choice of partner isn’t that hard to imagine. In Ed’s case, it’s not just the close bond between Abbey and himself that is causing this overprotectiveness. There is more to it than that, but that’s something you’ll have to discover for yourself. The story starts when Abbie introduce her boyfriend Ryan to her parents and grandma .As per Claire her mom Ryan a perfect Catch and all were impressed by her selection. When Ed her father met Ryan’s eyes yes the suspense starts …… Smart, intense, and with a humdinger of a mid-point twist. I loved it' Gillian McAllister, Sunday Times bestselling author

His brand new novel, THE MOTHER, is a twisty, fast-paced thriller about a woman betrayed and her search for redemption against all the odds. Because if she can't discover who framed her for murder, she will never see her sons again... Ed wasn't expecting to find out that his daughter Abbies boyfriend is in fact her fiance once he finally meets Ryan for the first. In 'The Catch', Ed senses something dangerous about his soon-to-be son-in-law Ryan during their first meeting. His wife Claire and daughter Abbie won't hear of it as he's never approved of her exes. However, he's determined not to let her walk down the aisle, even if it means taking risks and going down the dark road.. The rest of the family believe that Ryan is the perfect catch, so whys Ed's intuition telling him something different? Tim’s thrillers have sold more than two million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 other countries including Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, South Korea, Romania and the Netherlands.

Phyllis's house was where the president of Ireland Paddy Hillery used to live many years ago," she disclosed. "It's now empty and is used for various film projects. That was filmed on one side of the city and the set designer put sand up by the door and around the house. And we shot all the beach scenes in the other side of the city. It was all around Dublin."

I was fully invested in this book from the very beginning. I loved being along for the ride, wanting to know what would happen next. The pacing was spot on! As Ed searches for the truth, the tension and suspense grew. I could feel Ed's need for answers coupled with his frustrations. Two weeks after it came out as an e-book, I discovered that my day job – by this point I was a deputy director in charge of the university’s communications team – was being made redundant as part of a restructure. That was when I decided to take the plunge into writing full-time, which I have been doing since summer 2017. It’s a job that I love. Clever and compelling, T.M. Logan has written another belter of a novel. Totally addictive from start to finish The Catch is very highly recommended and it is another must-read from this brilliant author. Taut, tense and compelling. T.M. Logan's talent is in creating characters with whom the reader instantly relates, and then thrusting them into situations that reflect our deepest fears. Thriller writing at its finest' Simon Lelic

Put his job on the line just based on his gut instinct. Here's a tip: hire someone else from the get-go so that you can keep your job, get the dirt on Ryan and not attract the wrong attention. The Catch , my fourth book, tells the story of a father who becomes convinced his daughter is about to marry a man with terrible secrets. It has also been made into a four-part TV drama currently on Netflix and starring Jason Watkins, Poppy Gilbert, Aneurin Barnard and Cathy Belton. To be fair, I‘m probably not the right person to ask since my husband and I once hired a PI to look into our daughter’s boyfriend, ha! As it turned out we were correct to follow our intuition. So, I’m on team ‘Follow Your Instincts’.) Seeing Ed's slow obsession really sets up the first half of the novel, his adamant that theres something not quite right with Ryan leads him into some awkward situations!

I was born in Berkshire and grew up in Reading, the youngest of three boys and a fully-fledged bookworm from a very young age. I read history at Westfield College, part of the University of London, and went on to do a postgrad at Cardiff University.

Is this simply a case of an overprotective father or does the enigmatic Ryan really have something to hide? Is Ed looking for something that's not there or is Ryan so talented he's fooling everyone around him? The characters in this novel are realistic and appealing - all have their flaws, vulnerabilities and likeable points. I found 'The Catch' to have an orginal plot (even in the world of thrillers!) and to be well-paced. Convinced that his daughter is in danger, Ed begins to investigate his past. But as Ed becomes obsessed with discovering the truth, we realise that there may be a very thin line between protection and criminality. Is Ryan really Mr Perfect? Is Ed really the doting father, or merely seeing things that just aren't there? The book takes you on Ed’s journey to find this out and how his own life takes a steep downward turn as he tries to prove what he feels Throughout The Catch there was no point where I thought 'aha! I know what's going off here!' I couldn't fathom whether Ryan was a bad guy or whether Ed was losing the plot. I didn't know who, or even if there was a villain.Ed finally meets his daughter's boyfriend for the first time. Smart, successful and handsome, Ryan appears to be a real catch. Then Abbie announces their plan to get married. I am a great fan of T.M. Logan having read Lies, The Holiday and I was equally thrilled with The Catch. I loved everything about this book - the story-line, the characters and all of the many twists and turns. This means the Channel 5 drama could possibly end up changing how and where Ryan is disposing of his victims to make the events all take place near to their West Country home. Meanwhile, his book counterpart’s past living in Manchester with Eileen and then his first wife Lori might also be a little different and made more West Country-focused in The Catch adaptation. Thank you to Bonnier UK Audio, Zaffre and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. The Catch is a hugely suspenseful story and the tension builds up slowly, as Ed travels down an increasingly darker path. How far will a father go? Throughout, the reader is left to wonder about Ryan. But also about Ed himself. It isn’t until the end, when the pieces of the puzzle start to come together, that you realise how cleverly T.M. Logan has plotted this story.
