Description

This is a pretty standard range of non-motorised accessories, although it is nice to see a longer crevice tool than you find on a lot of modern vacs. But the hose and tool setup is a flawed design that we can’t overlook. While it’s useful to have two different hoses, it’s frustrating to unclip them, swap them over, and then add your tool each time you want to use it. As the two Breeze Evo vacuums are almost identical in design, however, we’re not surprised they have similar issues. One of those is the crowded appearance, which is even worse on the Breeze Evo Pets due to the extra tool. While there is onboard storage, it’s often easier to just store the attachment elsewhere. Stairs are a strong point for the Hoover Breeze Evo Pets, as the stretch hose is long enough to cover a whole flight in one go. Just make sure it’s at the bottom of the stairs, as the hose can topple the vacuum over if stretched too far.

There’s a 2-in-1 dusting brush and furniture nozzle, an extension tube, and Hoover’s long crevice tool. The latter is a welcome addition, as crevice tools are getting shorter on a lot of recent vacuums, which limits where you can use them. The rotating brush bar, with its variable height settings, is a good feature that makes this vacuum more versatile. It comes with a few helpful accessories, too. The 4.5 metre hose is long enough to manage a whole flight of stairs with the Hoover Breeze Evo parked at the bottom. Just be wary of stretching the hose too far, or else it can topple the vacuum over. The hose and all accessories can be stored neatly on board the vacuum cleaner, for convenience and easy storage. The Hoover Breeze Evo Pets is better at cleaning light dirt and dust than larger debris on carpets. You have to lift the vac off the floor and place it directly on top of bigger bits. Otherwise, the floorhead just pushes them around. When it’s full, there’s one button to remove the canister from the vacuum, so you can hold it inside a bag to minimise how much dust escapes. Then there’s another button to open the flap and empty it. Breeze Evo is a long reach vacuum, with 7 metre power cable, plus extra long stretch hose and extension tube for above floor cleaning - in total up to 12.5m maximum reach. This bagless upright vacuum weighs under 5kg in use, allowing you to move it around your home without straining. With the washable EPA filter, this vacuum will capture small dust particles and keep pollutants out of the air in your home. The fixed steering position of the floorhead will appeal to those who dislike balancing a swivel system. But it does make it harder to navigate the Breeze Evo around a furnished home. Especially as it’s quite a short and bulky floorhead, so it’s not ideal for getting under furniture or into tight spaces. Other Tools and Accessories Firstly, the belt on the floorhead is prone to snapping or falling off, so it requires some upkeep. As do the filters, which need regular cleaning to prevent clogs. There’s also a generous 3 litre dirt capacity that comes in handy for longer cleaning sessions. The Shark AZ910UKT, which is another pet model, only has a 0.99 litre tank. And the more expensive Hoover H-Upright 500 Reach is still smaller at 1.5 litres.

The Hoover Breeze Evo is intuitive to use for floor cleaning. There are two foot pedals, one to recline the vacuum and another to switch it on, making it convenient to use. We also like that the Breeze has a rotary dial to adjust the height of the brush bar, allowing you to clean different surfaces with relative ease.

Can this budget cleaner really handle daily dirt and pet hair though? And is it worth forking out for the upgraded “Pet” version in comparison to the regular Breeze Evo? Read our in-depth Hoover Breeze Evo Pets review to find out. Overview of the Hoover Breeze Evo Pet’s Features

The tools are useful for above-floor cleaning. However, there isn’t a mini turbo tool included – you’ll need to buy the Hoover Breeze Evo Pets vacuum if you want one. Hoover Breeze Evo Suction Power and Cleaning Performance The floorhead on the Hoover Breeze Evo provides strong performance for such an affordable cleaner. It looks basic and clunky, and there aren’t any headlights, but it’s effective for floor cleaning. The belt to power the brush bar is a weak point we should mention. It’s prone to breaking or slipping off, which is a real inconvenience. And it’s not easy to access it for maintenance or cleaning, either. Other Tools and AccessoriesThe Hoover Breeze Evo Pets is an affordable upright vacuum that’s designed for pet owners. A mini motorised pet tool is a welcome addition to this model, along with a large 3 litre dirt capacity and five-stage floor height selector.
