Meine GLXD Receiver, sind laut Datenblatt immun und können auch direkt per XLR angeschlossen werden, wenn Phantomspeisung anliegt, ohne dass sie Schaden nehmen. Using the DSP menu it is possible to select between four specific voicings: Music, Live, Speech and Club. I used the Live setting for my main tests as I wanted to see how the system performed as a live PA and this setting has the flattest response. There’s an overall three-band EQ with a sweepable mid offering a range of -12 to +6 dB, with the mid sweepable between 200Hz to 12kHz. The user can store and name (up to 12 characters) five custom DSP presets. In addition to adjusting delay and activating phantom power, the LCD also indicates the status of the system’s built-in limiter, showing when it is triggered. Should you push the levels too far and incur clipping, this is also flagged up on the display. High and mid frequencies are handled via an 825mm-tall aluminium column housing eight 3.5-inch neodymium-cone drivers. The bottom third of the column is angled downwards to ensure even coverage near the front. The geometry of the column provides a 120 x 40-degree (horizontal x vertical) dispersion pattern to concentrate the sound where it is most needed. A handle is built into the rear of the column and both the column and its 929mm support pole are supplied in a robust, zip-up carry case that also provides room for cables. When loaded, the bag weighs under 8kg. My suggestion to you sanj, would be to travel down to your closest Guitar Center or Sam Ash, take your guitar and cord, maybe even a wired mic... and ask to set up for a trial run. It will give you a more true duplication of what you are needing to do. I am sure they will be most accommodating for you.

Easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, Club), threeband EQ, five userprogrammable presets, output delay, phantom power, input level control and metering, and master volume control to optimize gain structure. Ergonomically designed handles on both the array and the sub to enhance portability. Angled interface gives user easy access to make adjustments and connections on input panel. Legendary EV audio quality via eight 3.5inch fullrange drivers and a 12inch subwoofer, powered by a threechannel amp for high output. Cuttingedge components and tuning provide fullsized sound in a superstreamlined, plugandplay format.I've seen him perform many times when I'm not performing and he usually performed with a Bose system (top of line) or QSC K-12.2s and a sub for larger gigs. Not on this day. The sound heard from behind the column is, predictably enough, predominantly lows and low mids, though our vocalist thought it clear enough that he could manage without a monitor if necessary. The free app communicated with the speaker without any problems, though we didn’t need to use it as we were utilising a separate mixer. The sound is just incredible. There is rarely a night that I don't get compliments. Here's my latest...

I, like Mr. Scott, also have two Evolve 50 speakers. And for me, it's the best speaker system I've ever owned in my life. Before purchasing them, I had the Turbosound IP2000. The sound quality just wasn't there. Returned them. Listened to just about every line array system including JBL, Bose, RCF, Peavey (which I also used to own), and let me tell you, my boy... the Evolve 50 blows them all away. And if you think that I'm exaggerating, I'm sure Mr. Scott can confirm that. Visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and master volume control ensure optimal gain structure Designed to deliver an uncompromising combination of light weight, lowprofile looks, and superior ElectroVoice audio quality, the EVOLVE 50 sets a new performance standard for powered column systems. The Evolve 50M has far too many settings, features and user options to go into here, but I did experiment with the overall system EQ presets (the ‘Mode’ setting), which offer a choice between Live, Speech, Club and the default Music mode. No prizes for guessing roughly what these do, but my personal default mode would always be Live as this is the ‘neutral’ setting. You would expect any product of this type, brand and price to be well designed and to sound great for its intended purpose, which it does, but often it’s the little practical things that can make the difference. I didn’t find any aspect of the Evolve 50M impractical, annoying, or disappointing — this is a system that delivers all that is promised. In use, it is easy to use and will keep producing output if app control is lost for any reason. FULL DISCAIMER: I don't own this system but I did witness a top St. Louis guitarist/vocalist using the EV Evolve 50 at a winery recently.
