Description

To install a plinth heater correctly, all instructions provided in the product manual must be followed. In most cases, installing a plinth heater is not a simple DIY job; hydronic plinth heaters will usually require a certified plumber to deal with the pipe and electric connections of the fan.

Automatically connects and runs according to your central heating system providing extra workspace. I measured up the cut-out in the plinth and it was the right size for the new Space Saver – so that saved a little time. TIP: Make cutout dimensions a little less wide to give the two facia (and unit) fixings more support on the plinth. Plinth heaters sit in the plinth of your kitchen units but still provide enough heat to keep your kitchen warm. This is an ideal heating solution for compact kitchens or for times where you simply want to get more from your kitchen, since you aren't losing precious wall space to a bulky radiator. This leaves room for other features you may want, such as an extra kitchen appliance, more kitchen worktops or extra kitchen storage. A plinth heater can also be more attractive than a bog standard radiator because it's so sleek and subtle, ideal for designer kitchens. Not only that, but plinth heaters can come with grilles in a whole range of finishes to perfectly match your existing decor.

as you will see have used this product many times and good quality along side cheapest on the net -can't say anymore 5*

Smith’s has launched a new version of its market-leading Space Saver plinth heater to fit 80mm plinth heights. The new slim-line SS80 kitchen heater from Smith’s is the only plinth heater available in Europe that fits IKEA-style 80mm plinth heights. In the first of a number of innovations for the product, Smith’s has designed a new Space Saver hydronic plinth heater to fit much narrower plinths found in kitchen designs popular from Scandinavia and Germany. Like its taller counterparts, installing the Space Saver SS80 frees up wall space for extra wall surfaces and more storage or desirable kitchen appliances, instead of home owners having to make do with a panel radiator. This is the perfect space saving radiator for our new kitchen now we no longer have space for a standard radiator. Also much more economical than the electric fan type plinth heater.

The Quiet-One 2000 offers high BTU output at low decibel levels. Maximum BTU output from a small footprint is the hallmark of the Quiet-One 2000 products. This ensures maximum utilization of floor and wall space in such rooms as kitchens and baths where space is at a premium. Easily Installed Fit the isolating valves. These might not be provided with your heater. The flexible hose pipes will then need to be connected from the heater to the central heating system.

Smith's Space Saver SS3

Jim Bennett, Smith’s Sales & Marketing Director, stated, “The Space Saver is a key appliance for the New Build and RSL markets, as well as for the mainstream consumer. It offers efficient, controllable warmth to kitchens where space is at a premium. Installers can use it to replace a radiator and because it will work off any wet central heating system, it’s a simple replacement that gives so much more to the end user.” It's out of sight under your unit, but blows the warm air forward through the smart brushed steel grill plate on the plinth. After turning the heating off I isolated the valves on the Flow and Return by the existing plinth heater, let out a little water from the heating system to flush out any debris trapped in the pipes.

DIY install in kitchen plinth, had everything I needed apart from a plug. Fairly quiet on the low setting, not really noticeable. Not really had a needed for full power, noise levels would be noticeable then. Still quieter than an oven. This has allowed us to move the fridge freezer into the corner of the kitchen in the old rad space. Giving additional storage by way of a new base unit where the fridge freezer was fitted the space saver sits underneath this. Allowed us to install longer worktops and give the whole kitchen new spacious look. The heat is dispersed around the room much better than the radiator used to provide. A highly energy efficient fan convector that fits neatly into the plinth of a kitchen unit. Space Saver eliminates the need for conventional radiators. And, as its name implies, this brings considerable space saving benefits - more room for extra storage units, more work surfaces, more space for kitchen appliances. Follow manufacturers instructions to complete the set up. Now that the heater is in place, you will need to adjust the settings as required.

Space Saver is used predominantly for domestic applications where the ingenious plinth-mounting feature makes it ideal for heating kitchens, utility rooms. Plinth mounting also makes Space Saver ideal for certain non-domestic applications such as reception areas, changing rooms, libraries, etc. I really wish I’d changed the plinth heater earlier. Now what’s next on my list to sort out at home?
