Very pleased with the service. Product is great and does exactly what we wanted. We spent a lot of time looking in places like B&Q but could not find anything like this. Definitely recommend. House is now mouse proof. In the unusual event where delivery is repeatedly refused or no effort is made to accept delivery, we reserve the right to pass delivery and return courier costs to the customer. Next working day delivery is not available for the Scottish Highlands and some remote areas where an additional charge may apply.

I received the new mesh guard in the next day’s post its now fitted. I would like to thank you for your understanding and prompt resolution to the issue.I will be recommending your product and service to anyone who asks about your guards – Many thanks Firstly, it is very important to note that rodent mesh is not the same as insect mesh. These meshes are not interchangeable. Rodent mesh is relatively much tougher. Rat mesh and mouse mesh is also more expensive because it contains more metal. Conversely, insect mesh is cheaper, lighter, is woven with fine wires and has much smaller holes. Rats and mice will gnaw through insect mesh with ease. Rat Mesh House mice (Latin name Mus domesticus) are well adapted to living within our homes, shops and factories. House mice will indeed very happily live and breed in our houses, garages, factories and any other place giving them extra protection from the cold, damp and wet. Our waterproof structures, especially cloches, garden sheds and similar shelters enable mice to have a free home and provide the necessities (and more!) that they require to prosper and multiply. There are two main ways to prevent slugs entering your home – one is to create a barrier of some sort – a copper strip or something that slugs do not like cross, such as dry grit, crushed eggshells or ash. The other is slug pellets, salt, or other chemicals. The caffeine in coffee has also been found to keep slugs and snails at bay. These do, however, pose the problem of poisonous materials that children and pets may find and it might be difficult to encircle your house with eggshells or ash!Nicholas Elwin is a business advisor for Mouse Mesh and author of several articles relating to pest control. Slugs are mostly found in the garden where they can be a real problem for gardeners, munching away at their plants throughout the year but they are often considered a greater problem in the house. As to its effectiveness, I will need to give it at least 6 months or more. I have a large Edwardian property with a cellar and could not understand why I would find mice running around as if it were their home. At least now I feel comforted that I have taken preventative measures to stop entry into my home.

An update re mouse meshes as a solution to an infestation of slugs. I fitted the meshes and within a day we only had one slug trail. I assumed this was from a slug that was already in the house so put some pellets down. We have now been completely clear of slugs for weeks!! Thanks again Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow.” This is the theme for World Food Safety Day 2021. We are recognising the roles that pest prevention, pest control, and proper proofing equipment play in ensuring the safety of the food we feed our families, our friends, and our customers. The World Health Organization estimates that 600Below, we have outlined the properties of some commonly employed meshes. These include mesh to prevent the passage of rodents (both rats and mice), insects (including specifically midges) and for use in beekeeping applications. Of note, much of the information below has been advised to us by the British Pest Control Association (BPCA). Rodent Mesh (rats and mice)

They are, however, a serious problem causing extensive damage to property as a result of their gnawing activities, and also by eating and contaminating food. Mice may carry a number of infectious diseases that can pose a risk to humans and animals. Where problems arise, it is important that mouse infestations are controlled. So both I myself and my immediate neighbour are delighted with the guards which have completely eradicated our mouse problems and I’ll be very surprised if they don’t solve our friends problems too. The quality of your product is definitely superior and they are very easy to fit – given that I’m a retired mechanic with plenty of tools and good hand skills – but any reasonable DIYer would find it an easy fitting job.
