Description

Once reserved for expensive, premium headphones, a number of audio brands are now offering Active Noise Cancelling technology (ANC) in their entry-level units as well. What you get: cleaner, more direct sound without the interference of outside noise. I've noticed that the lowest volume of the headphones don't match the lowest volume of my phone. If that makes any sense. My Raycons could be at the lowest setting and I would still hear music or a video playing. These headphones don't do that for me. I tend to take naps with headphones on and these headphones infere with that. The lowest setting is still too loud in my opinion. BLUETOOTH + CABLED: These headphones can be used wirelessly with 5.0 Bluetooth capabilities, plus a trusty 3.5mm cabled input, because you never know.

These headphones use four microphones and a custom-developed processor to detect and eliminate unwanted sounds. They don’t offer any control over their level of noise-cancellation, but Wyze does allow you to tweak their EQ using the company’s free mobile app. Unsurprisingly, these headphones stand out because of their excellent smart features. A 3.5mm cable is included in case you need to plug in, offering even more versatility. The headphones are available in three colors. The bass is so accurate but not too deep. The mids are outstanding and well-balanced. The treble is not outstanding but decent enough. It’s crisp and detailed and the level of highs and lows is well-balanced. Sometimes I think of sitting in a great concert hall. Noise Cancellation In my private opinion, the Status Flagship ANC doesn’t have any issues while wearing them with glasses. The clamping force is not too much and not feel pain around the temples area. But this might not be for some people. That depends on the shape and size of your head. So, if you are those who always wear glasses and have a quite big head size, over-ear headphones maybe not be your answer.

PREMIUM FIT & WEARABILITY: Holy fit. Plush vegan-leather earpads envelope your ears for a fully sealed, sumptuous over-ear fit. I've only tried to use the mic during meetings. It works, but it isn't really good (like most ones that is). I've only done so over Bluetooth. Not sure if it works over cable. The provided one is only three pin and I have no four pin male to male cable to try with. Most of the usability with these seem geared toward Bluetooth use, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not wired in a way that makes mic work over wire. Whether you’re on a busy commute or busy working from home, a reliable pair of noise-cancelling headphones goes a long way towards helping you stay focused and distraction-free.

I've also tried USB. Connected to my PC it shows up in the sound settings in Windows (headphone and mic), but I didn't get it to output or record any audio. For option 3, the volume can be adjusted on the cans independently from the source. Not going to go too deep here as I'm not good with all the descriptive words usually used, but a few things are to be noted. How you feed and listen to the these has a noticeable difference on the sound quality. The headphone is in mostly plastic. The headband is supported by a thin sheet of metal on the outside in the sliding mechanism. Most surfaces has a rubbery finish. It is easy to leave fingerprints on it, otherwise it looks fine. There is a bit of small shiny plastic on the piece clamping the ends of the faux leather the headband. The right one of these are marked SAANC-FS in a muted gray. Otherwise there are no visible markings, so they are discrete and classy in that way. The faux leather is soft and feels nice against the skin.

The voice that speaks status changes also leaves something to be desired. Not that it really matters, but it feels like they recorded it with some random employee of their own to save money on the design. It leaves a less serious impression. Even though it's literally in the product name the ANC is something they should not be proud of on these headphones. To comparison I have used the Bose QC 25 and the difference is enormous. But still the price difference is something to take in consideration (150 for the Bose). If you are fine with the compromises of Bluetooth audio, wanting something for your commute and think they have a nice set of features at an attractive price point, then they may be for you. aptX HD could potentially improve their usability, but I have no way of testing that Would I recommend these headphones to someone? Yes, I would. I wear headphones almost all the time, so when these headphones die, I switch to my earbuds while they charge. There are two buttons on the left headphone. One for turning it on/on (pairing)/off, one for changing listening mode.
