You can’t simply throw the decorations on! You have to put them on carefully, so the tree looks pretty. Before you even start writing your letter to Santa, you could play some music from the CBeebies Christmas songs playlist, and have a little dance in a Christmas jumper if you have one to get in the festive spirit!

Duggee and the Squirrels overdo it somewhat with the Christmas lights, which are so bright that nobody can see anything! Santa likes to hear about all the good things you have done in the year, so that he can add you to his Nice List! Tell Santa all the good things you have done! Place the butter, treacle, golden syrup and sugar in a large pan. Melt and set aside to cool slightly. Meanwhile, sift the flour, baking powder, salt, ginger and cinnamon into a bowl and set aside. Beat the egg into the butter mixture and stir in the flour mixture to create a soft dough. Divide into two discs, wrap in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Ready for some finger painting? If you have time to get the paints out with the kids then this is the one for you. Create a finger painted robin Christmas card and cute penguin present tags. To decorate the Christmas tree, roll out the green fondant as before and use the template to cut out the tree shapes. Roll out the blue, yellow and pink fondant and cut out strips and circles (use the end of an icing tip for these) to decorate the trees. Make a hole in the fondant for hanging as before. Feeling more creative? Try this impressive tinsel tree Christmas card, follow the steps with Ben and make a card to bring the festive cheer to friends and family.

There's lots of ways to make the perfect Christmas card, but using your little ones favourite CBeebies characters is always going to be the best Christmas card ever! If you can't find a template with their favourite characters here on, why don't you try drawing the character yourself or printing out some colouring sheets and adapting them into a Christmas card. You can ask Santa anything! How about asking if you made it onto the Nice List this year? Or, you could ask how the elves in the North Pole are getting ready for Christmas? Place the two head templates over the square sheet of medium brown felt, use the templates to cut out. Place to the side. If you like to be creative, you can draw Santa a picture to add in the envelope when you send it to the North Pole. Enjoy using silly spray and paint in the Creative Lab game, where you could draw a reindeer and tell Santa which reindeer of his is your favourite!Cut out all of the paper templates from the activity sheet. Place the full body paper template over the square sheet of red felt, use the template to cut the 2 full body Duggee shapes, place to the side. At the start of the episode, Roly is dancing in a Santa hat, before realising it’s time for Squirrel Club! What
