Original 2016 Review: Up until the last 3 issues I was in the 3.5-4 area. It was solid stuff, but then those last 3 issues happened and BOOM it shot up to a 5/5. This is now my favorite Batman story next to Hush and Court of Owls. Collects: Detective Comics #327, #329, #331, #333, #335, #337, #339, #341, #343, #345, #347, #349, #351, #353, #357, #359, #361, #363, #367, #369, #500, The Brave and the Bold #172, 183, 190, and 194James Gordon is a police commissioner and one of the most upstanding men in all of Gotham. His son is a remorseless, dangerous psychopath who believes empathy is humanity's biggest flaw. Jim Gordon hunts down a man named Roy Blount he believes to be the Peter Pan Killer, a child murderer he chased in his early days. Still dealing with his son's return, he remembers the day James Jr. was accused of murdering a girl named Bess Keller. Bess had been one of Barbara's friends, and she disappeared in the woods while they were on vacation. Barbara claims to have seen James Jr. carrying Bess' keychain but this was never proven. When Gordon finally takes down Blount, Blount implies that he murdered Keller in an act of revenge. Batman appears to take care of the criminal, and confirms that James Jr. was also not responsible for the birds being released. [5] Hungry City That first story, man. If it weren't for that first 3 part story, I'd be giving this 5 stars. It lagged so much for me that I considered quitting this book. I'm so, so, so glad I didn't though. Collects: Batman #373, Detective Comics #530-538 And 540-544 And World’s Finest Comics #297 And #299 Collects: Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight Halloweeen Special #1, Batman: Madness – A Legend of the Dark Knight Halloween Special. And Batman: Ghosts – A Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween Special
