Our eco-friendly approach doesn't compromise on protection, ensuring your items are safe during transit. Some peated drams stay quite quiet on the nose and don't reveal their secrets until they hit the tongue. If you are looking for a specific bottle requirement it is recommended that you verify with us before making a purchase.

Laphroaig 10 year old is the original Laphroaig, distilled the same way today as when Ian Hunter invented it more than 75 years ago. This peated whisky is renowned for its bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. It's like being dragged down to the sea shore in a storm and having your face pushed under the water before being pulled out and left to recover by a fire whilst having your cuts dressed with TCP and sticking plaster. Others can be deceiving - I have a bottle of Ledaig, the Tobermory peated expression, which smells like creme brulee and mashed potato on the nose - not a hint of peat until it hits the tongue. Those enjoying the 10 Year Old will first notice the bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. On the nose there are clouds of smoke with an iodine infused sea spray topped with a sprig of seaweed. Laphroaig 10 is matured in ex-bourbon barrels for at least ten years and has a distinct peaty flavour. Very different to the sweeter malts so be aware and don't knock it back unless you like a strong hit.

This Scottish whisky is the original Laphroaig, distilled the same way today as when Ian Hunter invented it more than 75 years ago. Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. One of whom was Ian Hunter, who laid down the process for Laphroaig 10 more than 75 years ago: and these methods are still followed today. The No 1 Islay malt in the UK and globally, Laphroaig is one of the most richly peated whiskies and the only single malt Scotch whisky to be awarded the Royal Warrant by HRH Prince of Wales. The palate entry is pleasantly smoky and grainy sweet; the midpalate flavors range from olive brine, seaweed, iodine, and wood smoke to baked pear, toffee and marshmallow.

The peat brings out prominent tastes of a damp forest floor, smoked kippers, liquid bonfire and a hint of iodine. Personally I adore peated whisky, and Laphroaig 10 for me is the benchmark (much like Glenfiddich 12 or Glenmorangie 10 for non-peated whisky). Starting from 2021, thanks to the synergy with Tree-Nation, Bottle of Italy has contributed to the planting of over 6,000 trees.Critic tasting note: "This expression offers an uncompromising note of brine-laden peat and iodine, with charcoal and sweeter fruit notes also present. Whether sipped neat or enjoyed over ice, Laphroaig 10 will captivate you with its quintessential Islay allure.

Laphroaig is a Scotch Whisky distillery on the western Scottish island of Islay and one of the best-known of all the single malts. The scotch enthusiasts in your life will appreciate the warmth and hardiness after coming in from the cold. A classic dram, this full-bodied single malt has a surprising sweetness which leads into a long, warming finish. I do appreciate the others and many other single malts from other regions I have tried but for me it's the Lap 10.
