It stars the actors from the preceding films in the series, except for the role of Albus Dumbledore, which sees Michael Gambon take over from the late Richard Harris. Wenn Warwick Davis schon (glücklicherweise) mitspielt, warum dann nicht als der beliebte Professor Flitwick - der hätte den Chor am Anfang doch auch dirigieren können! Perhaps we shouldn't be surprise that the best of Rowling's books proved to be the best of the films.

He accepted the role on advice from Ian Hart, who was cast as Quirrell, and had told him that Professor Lupin was "the best part in the book. den Schrumpfkopf kann man sich streiten, aber ich finde ihn witzig und Rowling wünschte sich in einem der Interviews, dass sie ihn selbst erfunden hätte. Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid: The gamekeeper and new Care of Magical Creatures teacher at Hogwarts. As no fullscreen edition of the Prisoner of Azkaban has been released on DVD here in the UK, in December 2004 I put together a page of screen captures from the widescreen version and some comments on it. The farther into the series you go the more complicated the books become but beginning with this film the story is streamlined to focus more on Harry's story and less on the surrounding characters secondary plot lines.

Other sets constructed for the film included the Hogsmeade village and The Three Broomsticks public house. That's right, once again, Kloves screws Ron while blowing Hermione way out of proportion, apparently unaware that he is ruining the balance between the trio and making it impossible to believe that Ron and Hermione have romantic feelings for each other.

Since when does Hermione cackle at Ron, fret over her hair, wear a pink hoodie with a rainbow belt, has the str Guyett cited the complex movement of the feathers as an achievement that had "never been done before. Some Potter purest's have had an issue with the streamlining of the plot but I think it makes Azkaban a more accessible film to non-hardcore fans.

Christopher Lee and Richard Attenborough expressed interest in taking over the role but ultimately it went to Michael Gambon (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Open Range). He explained, "What I really wanted to do was to make Hogwarts more contemporary and a little more naturalistic.

The Knight Bus, emergency transport for stranded witches and wizards, finds and takes Harry to the Leaky Cauldron, where Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge assures Harry that he will not be punished. Principal photography began on 24 February 2003, [25] at Leavesden Film Studios, and wrapped in late November 2003. The Guardian gave the film 3 stars out of 5, saying, "This new Harry Potter picture will cast a spell on its fanbase.Mass murderer, Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban Prison and wants to kill Harry to avenge Voldemort. That was the most important piece of acting work that we did on Prisoner of Azkaban, because it was very clear that everything they put in those essays was going to be the pillars they were going to hold on to for the rest of the process. The kids are also taking Divinations, which introduces them to Professor Sybil Trelawney (scene stealing Emma Thompson) and their friend Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) will actually be teaching the Care of Magical Creatures class. The spectacular fantasy-adventure action of the earlier movies (PHILOSOPHER'S STONE and CHAMBER OF SECRETS) is once again presented here, as Alfonso Cuaron lends his unique directorial style to recreating Rowling's magical story on celluloid.

There is no reason at this point to consider replacing any of the actors in the cast, young or old, except for the cold hard reality that has Michael Gambon now playing Albus Dumbledore. The three pairings on screen (Harry/Sirius; Lupin/Pettigrew and Ron/Hermione) are there for a reason, however subtle, and being limited to just one of them changes the dynamic of the scene. Ian McKellen was offered the role but he turned it down since he had recently played Gandolf in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and because he thought it would be inappropriate since Richard Harris had once referred to him as a "dreadful" actor. For Harry's protection, Azkaban has sent an army of soul-sucking Dementors to guard Hogwarts from a possible attack by Black - but they turn out to be as much of a threat to Harry as Black himself. With his best friends, Harry masters advanced magic, crosses the barriers of time and changes the course of more than one life. It was nominated for two Academy Awards, Best Original Music Score and Best Visual Effects, at the 77th Academy Awards in 2004.
