The characters that run through the book really facilitate the use of morphology to unlock spelling and reading for learners with SpLD.As an intervention it is designed for learners aged 9 -13 for whom phonics has failed or is no longer appropriate, but it can be used across the age ranges in different capacities, and adapted for older learners in intervention. Between each session you will have reading and practical tasks set, which you’ll have the opportunity to review during the sessions. She holds an OCR Level 7 diploma in teaching and assessing learners with specific learning difficulties and a current Assessors’ Practising Certificate.
