Description

Its aroma is lightly floral, with elderflower and a little sweetness coming through and then on tasting you’ll enjoy a pungent elderflower hit that mellows and is supported by just the right amount of sweetness. Using Brachetto as a base wine and a blend of herbs and botanicals including dried rose petals, vanilla pods and ginger. The name “Americano” is both due to the alcohol made bitter (“amaricato”) by the addition of herbs and spices and to the American habit of drinking vermouth with ice and soda. It is created by infusing red wine with a blend of herbs, fruits, and botanicals, including gentian, rose petals, and citrus peels. Whether as a long drink with tonic over ice, chilled on it's own or as a cocktail base Cocchi Rosa ticks all the boxes. Founder Giulio Cocchi, a young pastry chef from Florence moved to Asti and established his company in 1891. Throughout its history, Giulio Cocchi has used the profile of the aperitif wine Americano to highlight the fine aromatic grapes of Piemonte. It's also the ideal choice for those looking to make Vesper Martini due to its high levels of drying cinchona. From the Americano, hailed as the original, to the Barolo Chinato, once drunk for medicinal purposes and to guard against fevers, Cocchi's vermouths remain some of the most well respected and quality driven in the world today.

This rosé aperitif wine is based on a blend of two aromatic varietals, Brachetto and Malvasia from Italy's Piedmont region. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. Giulio began producing quality aromatic-infused wines and, by the turn of the century, two in particular; Barolo Chinato and Aperitivo Americano, had become very popular across international markets.Ideally enjoyed as a long drink with tonic or in a classic cocktail, Cocchi Rosa adds bitter, sweet and fruity notes to your spritz or apéritif drink. The smooth and light flavour of St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur has kept it popular for many years and has guaranteed that it’s known as one of the finest and first elderflower liqueurs out there.

Strawberry sorbet, slightly melted, with a big syrupy sweetness balanced by delicate bitter and herbal notes. Light, sophisticated and brimming with flavour, Cocchi Rosa is leading the way in the new style of aperitivo drinks. In the late nineteenth century he moved to Asti, a small but lively town in the north west of Italy, not far from Torino. All Cocchi products are wine-based and the recipes are those of the past, and the quality of the wine and of the other ingredients combined with the century-old technical expertise and a passion and creativity has never failed in over 130 years of business. Bitter, sweet, spicy, fruity this is a must try for any drinks enthusiast who wants to stand out from the shadow of Aperol and Campari. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Probably my favourite Red Vermouth for overall versatility, it’s my favourite accompaniment for rose and violet creams, or any other dark chocolate. Refined with natural extracts of flowers and spices, in particular gentian, cinchona and citrus as per the Americano Bianco but with the addition of saffron, vanilla and rose petals. Light, sophisticated and brimming with flavour, Cocchi Americano Rosa is leading the way in the new style of aperitivo drinks. Whether as a long drink with tonic over ice, chilled on its own, or as a cocktail base, Cocchi Rosa ticks all the boxes. The legend tells that he fell in love with the owner’s daughter of one of the bars at Piazza Alfieri – the main square in Asti. Here the wine base is a blend of two aromatic varietals such as Brachetto and Malvasia famous for imparting notes of wild rose and summer berries.
