Beautiful bottle with a clean and essential design (vaguely reminiscent of a Portuguese wine) beautiful wooden cap, very rare and very natural and organic. then many years has pass (something like 30) Agua Brava was discontinued here in México; and yesterday i recived it in my home (from Germany). Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). Pino stays fresh and bright throughout its much longer life; while AB turns a bit skankier with its leather and musk and doesn't project or last anywhere near as long as Pino. The comparisons to Quorum, Puig's 1980s Eau de Testicle beast-mode masterpiece, are completely off-base; Agua Brava, in my experience, doesn't (and can't) go anywhere near as green or leathery or mossy as Quorum, at any stage of its life.

Unless you're actually with someone at close range when you first put this on, you're the only one who'll ever smell this part. It has an old-school quality of mostly natural ingredients, and is a great way to re-visit the 60's on a less-traveled road (Brut, English Leather and several others being the more commonly traveled paths).sometimes you associate certain smells with certain other non perfume products and once it's in your head, there is no getting around it. I love that about it, but also feel it's a rough draft of Quorum (and perhaps now with reformulation it's merely an attenuated Quorum with more citrus). Launched in 1968 Agua Brava for men is a classic Spanish cologne brought to you from the famous Spanish fashion house of Antonio Puig. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

What's most noticeable to my nose with Agua Brava is the thyme and bay leaf, both with a sweetness and pungency that it uplifting and sensual. Base notes of Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Moss make this a truly classic and masculine fragrance. Agua Brava is an Italian style cologne - where the fresh lines of pine, citrus and herbs are blurred by a dark and rounded base. As indicated, it's in the same pine and woody vein as Acqua di Selva and particularly Pino Silvestre, but a bit dryer and more linear. If you're a fan of Mediterranean cookery, there's a chance that you'll enjoy this, - I just wish it were a little better blended. As the citrus dies down over about 10-15 minutes it becomes much more herbal; the thyme and bay leaf definitely are the strongest. It seems to be less commonly available than it's rival Pino Silvestre, which made the acquisition a bit more difficult, but I finally have it. Top notes are lavender, sage, bergamot, lemon of Amalfi (Amalfi lime) and juniper Virginia; middle notes are carnation, clove, thyme, bay leaf and pine; the base notes are vetiver, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oak moss and leather. In addition, as we give you the option to choose what best suits your needs from several sellers, you have the power to decide so you can make your purchase as you wish. Its my favorite Puig scent and always brings to mind a big heavy pot of hearty Mediterranean spiced beef barley soup, simmering away all day long while I expect fresh bread must be baking in the oven.
